Okay… usually I can adapt to variations in color that are not accurately represented on the computer screen. I know that hues can be off a small bit… but this is way more than off.

FIRST.. please look closely at the rug by zooming onto the enlarged persona. You will see that it is TWO different colors giving it the rippled look that is represented in the smaller persona.

Note also that the loops are very large and make an overall loose look to the rug. As those loops are tread upon… they flatten considerably, ensuing in a cheaply looking rug.

Second…the persona makes it look like two shades of purple… but my rug does not have right purples…but instead two inequitable colors… a lighter lavender/pink color in linking a darker eggplant color… in other words the darker color is not purple but more like a REDDISH PLUM or a burgundy color…like certain wines (if you like Pinot Noir, it looks like a nice Pinot to me).

So, if you want more red than blue in your purple…this will work. But if you are like me and lean more to the violet/indigo blue end of the spectrum, this is not it.

If you look at the same rug in a 48×70 (the larger version of this rug) they have another persona that is a LITTLE more accurate.. but the darker color is still not properly represented as burgundy.

I kept the rug, because returning something so huge is a hassle, but didn’t use it for its original intent.
